He tends to shuffle and skirt around

And lays in my lap while making purring sounds

And anytime I may be busy 

He rests on my keyboard 

And I know he knows he’s silly

But one thing that tickles me the most 

Is when his whiskers swipe upon my skin

We went to the corner store

Down the candle aisle and purchased

6 sour candies and two bottles of soda pop

Threw a piece of the candy in our mouths

and made weird faces at each other.

A nice cool evening

A blanket pulled to chin

Tucked in

Cuddled with a

puffy button-nosed

stuffed animal.

A giant to everyone he met

He’d swipe trees down with one swing

His blue ox working to haul lumber

what an awesome marvelous feat

It’s said he carved the rivers and some canyons

by dragging his ax

Paul Bunyan and Babe

walking all through the land

what an enormous task

It’s that time of year it seems

I could use a little nap

I’ll settle in this den I made

And call this year a wrap.

I have these stripes

That I wear

Not sure of the reason why

But some have said

it just makes it easier

for when i have to hide

I don’t understand it all myself

Cause i like standing

front and center

I do a dance and love to prance

And make myself look bigger!
